The Snow Duathlon, the first event of its kind in the region, made its debut with outstanding success at Ski Dubai.
Organized in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council and CRANK Fitness, this groundbreaking event drew 209 participants from 49 nationalities, including 35 Emirati athletes, who faced the challenge of competing in sub-zero temperatures.

Record-Breaking Wins on the Snow
Individual Category Highlights:
- Women’s Individual Category (3km Run & 5km Cycling):
Emirati athlete Kalthoum Al Mazmi secured first place with an impressive time of 30:73 minutes.
- Men’s Individual Category:
Syrian athlete Omran Shkair claimed victory with a finishing time of 22:56 minutes.
Elite Category Highlights:
- Women’s Elite Category (5km Run & 5km Cycling):
Michala Radomska from the Czech Republic took the gold with a time of 36:68 minutes.
- Men’s Elite Category:
Norway’s Hallvard Borsheim dominated the category, finishing in 27:82 minutes.
Teams Category:
Colombia’s Comando Group outperformed the competition in the Teams Category, clocking an average time of 19:63 minutes.

The Snow Duathlon blended outdoor-style running with stationary cycling in an indoor, snow-covered setting at temperatures below minus four degrees.
