Wellness tourism is transforming beyond relaxing spa days, evolving into a fully integrated part of the travel experience.

Now, travelers can carry their wellness routines wherever they go, thanks to a strategic partnership between Dragonpass, a global premium travel services platform, and Boddy, a travel-tech startup specializing in wellness.

This innovative collaboration grants access to full-service gyms, personal trainers, and group fitness classes at over 150 fitness clubs across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Bahrain.

The feature is already available in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, as well as Europe, North America, and Asia, with plans for further expansion in the near future.

Andrew Harrison-Chinn, Chief Marketing Officer at Dragonpass, highlighted their commitment to combining wellness and travel seamlessly.

“At Dragonpass, we believe wellness should be a natural part of the travel experience. Through our partnership with Boddy, we’re enabling travelers across the GCC to prioritize their health without compromising convenience or flexibility,” he explained.

Hannes Boller, CEO of Boddy, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the ease and accessibility the partnership brings.

“Wellness should travel with you. Whether you’re landing in Dubai, Riyadh, or Doha, travelers can now book a class, access a gym, feel like a local, and keep up with a healthy lifestyle.

This partnership turns Dragonpass into a seamless gateway to one of the world’s fastest-growing wellness networks.”

The collaboration merges Dragonpass’ global travel expertise with Boddy’s advanced wellness platform to meet the growing demand for health-focused travel options.

Other industry leaders are also stepping into the fitness-focused travel arena.

Matrix Fitness, a pioneer in commercial fitness equipment, recently announced Clint Judd as its strategic account manager for hospitality, showing its commitment to expanding in the luxury travel segment.

For instance, the East Sussex National Hotel Resort has upgraded its health club in partnership with Matrix Fitness, which now features 50 state-of-the-art stations with the brand’s latest Endurance Cardio and Ultra strength equipment.

Additional enhancements include a revamped spin studio with 15 Matrix CXP bikes and a newly launched Hyrox Studio, demonstrating how luxury resorts are embracing wellness as a core offering.

This evolution of wellness tourism highlights how health and fitness are becoming indispensable elements of modern travel, ensuring that wellness journeys extend far beyond relaxation into a comprehensive lifestyle experience.
