What Al-Hilal has built

Opened on 7 August 2026 at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, the Al-Majidiyah hub is the first team's new home base. It spans around 56,000 square metres and packs in two grass pitches, a performance centre, recovery facilities, a medical clinic, player accommodation, offices and a media centre. Board Chairman Prince Nawaf bin Saad said the project reflects a commitment to the highest international standards, adding that the training environment must be prepared to the highest level for players to excel.

The recovery technology is what turned heads. According to the club, the hub features a hyperbaric chamber, an anti-gravity treadmill, a Himalayan-salt sauna, red-light therapy and a 'hypoxic' training hall that simulates altitude and climate by controlling oxygen, temperature and humidity. It is elite-level kit, aimed at squeezing out every last percent of performance and recovery.

What it signals for fitness in the Kingdom

You do not have to be a football fan to find this encouraging. When a club invests this heavily in preparation and recovery, it sends a clear message: training seriously is now part of Saudi sporting culture. That momentum does not stop at the professional gate — it filters down to how everyone thinks about staying fit, and it is exactly the kind of ambition Vision 2030 has been building toward.

The principles you can actually use

Here is the good news: the ideas behind all that expensive tech are free. You do not need an altitude chamber to train like you mean it — you need the same fundamentals the pros lean on.

  • Recovery is training. The pros protect sleep, mobility and easy days as carefully as hard sessions. So should you.
  • Environment matters. A good place to train — clean, well-equipped, motivating — makes showing up easier. That is most of the battle.
  • Measure and progress. Elite setups track everything so they can improve. You can do the same with a simple training log.
  • Consistency beats intensity. No chamber matches the results of turning up week after week.

If you want to build real strength and conditioning, a session or two with a good coach goes a long way — our certified personal trainers can build a plan around your goals, and our exercise library breaks the movements down so you train with good form from day one.

Train like it matters in Riyadh

The pros now have Al-Majidiyah — and you have a welcoming place to train just as seriously, minus the hypoxic hall. If you are ready to make your own preparation a priority, find your nearest GymNation in Riyadh and put these principles to work. The equipment gets the headlines; your consistency gets the results.
