Saudi Arabia's gym build-out has just added another marker. Armah Sports, the operator behind the B_FIT brand, has signed a 20-year agreement with a subsidiary of Banan Real Estate to develop a new men's B_FIT club in Riyadh's Al-Qirawan district. If you train in the Kingdom, or you have been thinking about starting, deals like this are worth a glance. They are a signal of how quickly the fitness sector here is growing, and of how much more choice is heading your way.

What was actually announced

The agreement was signed on 5 September 2026 and runs for 20 years. The club will sit on Prince Musaed bin Jalawi Road in the Al-Qirawan neighbourhood, and construction is expected to take around two years, so this is a plan for the near future rather than a door opening next month. According to the company, the project is part of Armah's wider expansion and a strategy to diversify how it funds new sites, with a focus on prime locations. Revenue, it says, is expected to start once the club is up and running.

What B_FIT is

B_FIT is Armah Sports' men-only fitness brand. The company describes it as a full-service offering, with sports and fitness facilities alongside digital and tech-enabled services. That is the operator's own framing, and it fits a wider pattern across the region, where new clubs increasingly lean on apps, tracking and connected equipment rather than a room full of machines alone.

Why one club matters more than one club

A single lease agreement is not, on its own, headline fitness news. What makes it interesting is the trend it belongs to. Saudi Vision 2030 set a clear national goal of getting far more people physically active, with a target of 40% of the population exercising regularly, and activity levels have climbed quickly in recent years. To meet that kind of demand, the number of licensed fitness clubs across the Kingdom has risen sharply, and operators keep announcing new sites. One more men's club in Riyadh is a small piece of a much bigger build-out.

What a wave of new clubs means for you

For the person who actually wants to train, a growing market is mostly good news. Here is what it tends to bring:

  • More locations, which usually means a club closer to home or work, and a shorter trip is one of the strongest predictors of actually going.
  • More competition on service and facilities, which pushes every operator to look after members better.
  • More technology, from booking to progress tracking, that can make a routine easier to stick to, whether you prefer heavy lifting or a HIIT session.
  • A culture where training is simply normal, which makes starting far less daunting.

The part that does not change

New clubs and clever apps are welcome, but none of them do the work for you. Whichever brand you end up choosing, the fundamentals are the same: turn up regularly, train with a bit of a plan, eat and sleep like you mean it, and give it time. If you are in the capital and weighing up your options, it is worth seeing what is already open, from gyms in Riyadh to the classes and memberships each one offers, before you commit.

Where GymNation fits

GymNation is part of this same growing scene, built on a simple idea: an everyone-welcome gym where nobody feels out of place. If a wave of new clubs has you thinking about your own training, that is the real opportunity here, and joining a gym is only worth it if you use it.

Your move, whichever club you pick

More clubs across the Kingdom is good news however you like to train, because the real win is simply you showing up. GymNation is a welcome-everyone kind of gym, with no gym ego and room for beginners next to seasoned lifters. Want to see how it feels before you decide anything?
