Available in over 5,000 locations globally, Anytime Fitness stands as a beacon of convenience and accessibility for fitness enthusiasts.

Founded by Chuck Runyon and David Mortensen in Cambridge, Minnesota, 22 years ago, the franchise has grown to span 42 countries, including Antarctica.

A membership at Anytime Fitness offers access to any of its locations worldwide, ideal for frequent travelers.

Regardless of where you work out, the mission remains steadfast—to enhance global health and wellness.

Making Health and Wellness Accessible

Over the past decade, Anytime Fitness has aimed to "democratize health and wellness coaching," according to Julie Anderla, the company's vice president of global marketing.

"We believe everyone around the world should have access to the ability to achieve the health and wellness goals that we have set for ourselves."

This mission is supported by the franchise's numerous locations and affordable membership prices.

If you're considering joining Anytime Fitness, here is an overview of their pricing and membership plans.

Anytime Fitness Pricing

The cost of an Anytime Fitness membership varies depending on the location you choose.

Each franchise is independently owned, and pricing structures can differ across markets.

For instance, the average cost in the United States is $41, while in Canada, it’s around $53, as per the company's website.

Membership durations also vary, with most locations offering plans for six, 12, or 18 months.

An initiation fee, ranging from $25 to $150, applies based on the U.S. location. Once you’ve paid for your membership, you gain access to all facilities, amenities, and lockers at any Anytime Fitness location worldwide.

Some locations offer additional services at extra costs, such as physical therapy, personal training, cryotherapy, or red light therapy.

If you prefer to try the gym before committing, a free 7-day trial is available at every location.

Discounts at Anytime Fitness

To prioritize community accessibility, Anytime Fitness provides discounts for students, seniors, and active military members.

Some healthcare insurance plans might also offer discounted membership options. However, it’s up to each franchise to opt-in to these discounts.

It’s best to check with your local club for specific discount availability.

Additional Price Considerations

Personal training sessions are available at an extra cost. You can opt for one-on-one training sessions ranging from 30 to 60 minutes, with prices between $40 and $75 or more.

Small group training is also offered, allowing members to bring a friend or join groups of four to six people, costing $35 and up.

Team training with slightly larger groups (six to ten people) is another option.

Both small group and team training sessions are designed to be inclusive and beginner-friendly, regardless of experience level.

Unlike some other fitness centers, Anytime Fitness does not offer kids programming or childcare services.

The Anytime Fitness App

For those who are always on the move, the Anytime Fitness mobile app is available for free to members.

The app allows you to track your training, nutrition, and recovery progress, or schedule sessions with a personal trainer.

Through a partnership with Apple Fitness+, members can also access Apple Fitness content directly on the Anytime Fitness app.

Non-members can try Apple Fitness+ for free for three months before it transitions to a $10 monthly fee.

By joining Anytime Fitness, you’re not just signing up for a gym—you’re becoming part of a community dedicated to improving health and wellness around the globe.
