Lagree is coming to the UAE in a big, headline-making way. Lagree Fitness Week will run from February 1 to 6, 2026, bringing the signature high-intensity, low-impact Lagree method to some of the most recognisable and photogenic spots in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
How long is your ideal workout?
All sessions are designed around the Lagree Microformer, and classes are set to be led by Sebastien Lagree, the creator of the method.
What is Lagree, and why is everyone talking about it?
Lagree is built on slow, controlled movements that keep muscles under constant tension. The goal is to challenge strength, stability, and endurance without high-impact jumping that can feel harsh on joints.
Expect it to feel:
Slower than a typical HIIT class
More intense than it looks
Very focused on core control, form, and precision

Session length: 30 to 40 minutes depending on the schedule and event format.
What to expect in your first Microformer session
Lagree has a learning curve, but you do not need to be advanced to start. Most first-timers feel challenged because:
The pace is controlled, so you cannot “cheat” momentum
Legs and core get a lot of time under tension
Transitions and setup matter as much as the reps
How to prepare (so you enjoy it, not just survive it)
Arrive early so you can get set up and ask questions
Wear grippy socks if they’re recommended for the machine format
Eat light beforehand if you’re training in the morning
Pace yourself. The intensity builds fast, even in “beginner-friendly” blocks
