YOGA FAQ'S

plus minus

I'm not flexible - can I do yoga?

Absolutely. Yoga is for everyone. Your size, age or level of flexibility doesn't matter. You don't have to be flexible to start with, yoga will help you become flexible.

plus minus

I'm really not very fit, can I still do yoga?

Yes. You can join a class suitable for your fitness level. For example, to join a mixed-ability yoga class, you need to be able to get up and down from the floor.

plus minus

What should I bring to class?

You can bring a mat (most studios have mats you can borrow but some people prefer to bring their own). There are usually blocks, belts and blankets at every yoga studio for you to use when needed.

What should I wear to a yoga class?

Most people wear leggings to yoga, though you can certainly wear shorts if that's what you're more comfortable in. On top, a supportive sports bra, and a light, comfortable T-shirt or tank are good options.

I’m pregnant. Can I still do Yoga?

Yes. Yoga is a great exercise to do during pregnancy as it doesn't put too much strain on your joints. It has also been shown to reduce anxiety and to help women stay calm in pregnancy and labour.
