JOINING & MEMBERSHIPS
How can you offer gym memberships at a 1/3rd the price of other gyms?
It’s really simple, we offer a world-class gym with no 'frills and fuss' and therefore have opted not to include a sauna, steam, spa, and pool within GymNation locations. We also cut out the frills such as a towel service, and invest extensively into technology to automate our systems (e.g. online sign-up, member app, etc).
All of this helps to keep our costs low and we are then able to pass these savings through to you, our members, in the form of fantastically low and flexible gym memberships! Putting it simply, we focus on providing proper health and fitness benefits, and less on the expensive luxuries that only a very small percentage of gym members want or would actually use!
How do I join GymNation?
It’s a really simple process. You can join online through our website or by coming into the gym and signing up at reception. To join via the website click on JOIN NOW from the main menu, select your type of membership, and away you go. You’ll be a member in just a few simple steps.

What are the different membership options?
We like to keep things transparent and simple at GymNation, as a result we have two membership options:
1. GymNation Fixed Term: Where you sign up for an affordable 12-month agreement but only pay monthly! (No big upfront payments like in other gyms!)
2. GymNation Plus: This is our most popular membership option! GymNation Plus includes access to all GymNation UAE locations as well as many other benefits included in the membership, including FREE PT sessions and monthly guest passes for your friends and family.
Do I need to pay for 12 months upfront?
Absolutely not – our ethos is to make our membership packages as flexible as our yoga instructors! At GymNation we only expect you to pay each month rather than upfront, making our memberships more affordable for you.
Can I try before I buy or get a day pass?
Hey, we don’t call ourselves the most transparent and flexible gym for nothing. That’s why we offer a range of guest pass options to suit your schedule. You can apply for a guest pass through our website or visit a GymNation reception where a member of the team help you out!
What are GymNation's opening hours?
All GymNation locations are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so that you never miss a workout!
What is the minimum age to join GymNation?
You need to be 16 years old to join GymNation, but we also offer a variety of supervised classes and training programs focused on under 16's. Please speak to the team at reception for more information on these.
Can I pay by cash or card?
The easiest way to become a member is via our website – Join now – where you can join using any debit or credit card. We do not accept cash payments as we seek to automate all our processes and systems to keep the back-office staff count low and we pass these savings through to you in the form of the UAE's Most Affordable Gym membership.

How do I know what non open GymNation locations will look like?
All GymNation locations have a very similar look and feel between each of them! View video tours of our open GymNation locations so that you know exactly what to expect when each GymNation location opens up!
When I join will I be issued with a GymNation membership card?
Yes, you can collect your membership card from reception as soon as you join! We operate the highest standard of security at all our sites, this involves biometrics and a photo that links to our membership database. You can gain access to the gym on a 24/7basis through our card and biometric entry gates system.
What is a Recurring Payment?
How can I make my monthly membership payments?
Your second monthly recurring payment will be collected exactly one month after you join, unless you joined prior to your gym opening in which case it will be collected one month after the gym has opened. Subsequent monthly recurring payments for monthly membership fees will be collected monthly thereafter via our recurring billing platform which will debit the funds from the debit or credit card you used to become a member.
What is the joining fee?
EQUIPMENT & FACILITIES
Are there changing facilities and showers in the gym?
Yes, we provide showers, lockers, toilets and changing facilities within each GymNation location.
Are there lockers within GymNation?
Yes, please bring your own padlock or you can purchase a padlock from vending machines at the gym for 20AED. As the Gym rules state, all lockers must be locked if occupied and only used for the duration of your training session. Please be aware: lockers are cleared of belongings every night by gym staff.
Will I be shown how to use the equipment/given an induction?
Yes, we provide a free GymNation induction session to every new member in which we show you how to operate the equipment and answer any other questions you may have. Time slots can be booked at the gym reception desk, website, or through the GymNation App!
Does the facility include sauna, steam, spa and pool?

Do you offer a towel service?
We offer a high-quality exercise and fitness facility with no 'frills and fuss' and therefore we do not provide members with a towel service. This keeps the costs low, and we pass on these savings through fantastically low and flexible gym memberships.
Do you provide parking at GymNation?
Yes, we do! We offer (24/7) access to ample parking in each GymNation location in clearly marked and dedicated spaces for GymNation members.
Do you supply paper towel dispensers to wipe down equipment?
As stated in the gym rules, a small gym towel must be carried to wipe down equipment after use as a courtesy to other members. Towels can be purchased from one of our gym vending machines for 30AED. We currently are also supplying paper towels and disinfectant bottles around the gym, in line with Covid-19 guidelines.
Do you have free weights?
Yes. All of our clubs have an excellent range of free weights up to 60kg with at least 2-3 of every single weight available.
Is the weights area just for men?
The weights area at GymNation is certainly not just for men. Unlike many other gyms, all of our gyms are designed to be welcoming and non-intimidating, in fact over 30% of GymNation members are brand new to health and fitness and never owned a gym membership before joining GymNation!
Everyone is welcome in our weights areas, but we have also added separate ladies-only weights areas in most of our gyms to provide an additional option to members who wish to train in a ladies-only gym. Weight training has a number of substantial benefits to both men and women alike. It increases bone density which in turn strengthens your bones, it also improves body composition. Weight training can also reduce your body fat and increase your muscle mass as well as increasing metabolism, improving physical fitness and preventing injury. It’s safe to say weight training is for everyone...just like the GymNation weights area!
What gym equipment do you have?
At our gyms, you'll find at least 500 pieces of high spec cardio and strength equipment and free weights up to 60kg. Don’t forget, if you need a quick demo of any of the machines or equipment at any point, all you have to do is ask. We'll be happy to show you.

Do you have ladies only facilities?
Our ladies only gyms have an extensive range of cardio, strength and free weight equipment. In addition to our ladies only gyms our virtual studio doubles up as a ladies only gym at certain times of day, allowing our female members to do instructor led and virtual classes in the company of other like-minded ladies.

Yes we do! We are committed to bringing you the most up-to-date and full timetables, with up to 400+ classes running every month for GymNation members in every location. PERSONAL TRAINING
Are there personal trainers at GymNation?
Yes, we have the best personal trainers in the UAE who can be hired at an additional cost. All GymNation members also receive a FREE personal training session upon joining! Speak to the team at reception and they will help find the best personal trainer for your fitness goals!
Do you allow freelance trainers?
Any freelance trainers found to be coaching clients out of GymNation will be asked to leave and will have their GymNation membership terminated.
REFER FRIENDS
Can I refer friends or family members to GymNation?
Studies show that training with your friends or family can improve your results by up to 60%. You are much more likely to achieve your fitness goals if you begin your journey with someone else!

CANCELLING/FREEZING YOUR MEMBERSHIP
Can I cancel my membership?
Please note,
(1) if you are within our 12 month Fixed Term contract and upon visiting the gym you do not provide supporting evidence acceptable to GymNation management your request will be immediately rejected
(2) If you state you are on a Flexible membership but are in fact on a Fixed Term membership your request will be immediately rejected
Acceptable supporting evidence
If you signed up for our 12 month fixed term agreement you are only able to cancel this membership within your first 12 months due to:
(1) Relocation outside of Dubai, RAK or Abu Dhabi
(2) Medical reasons
(3) Redundancy
Evidence must be provided otherwise your request to cancel will be immediately rejected.
It is mandatory to bring evidence of your circumstances in support of your reason for cancelling within your twelve month contract.
(1) Relocation outside of Dubai, RAK or Abu Dhabi- new tenancy agreement (visa cancellation or flight tickets are not sufficient evidence).
(2) Medical Reasons - Doctors letter, dated within last 30 days stating you can no longer participate in physical activity or Maternity Certificate.
(3) Redundancy - Employer evidence confirming your redundancy with company stamp.
Failure to attach evidence to this application to cancel your contract will result in your request being immediately rejected.
If you are in a Flexible agreement you can cancel without any supporting evidence subject to our notice period.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Please see below the relevant sections of the Terms & Conditions regarding cancellation which you accepted upon becoming a member:
CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
If you joined online and not in the Gym premises you have either 14 full days after joining if you do not attend the gym (or 14 full days from when the gym opens if you joined during a pre-opening sales phase) or 24 hours post your first visit to cancel this agreement for any reason.
If you exercise this right to cancel we will reimburse you all membership fee payments received from you. If you have used the GYM before requesting to cancel then we will reduce your membership fee refund by a pro rata amount equal to the number of days from joining to the date cancellation was requested.
If you joined as a member inside our Gym you have no legal entitlement to a cooling-off period.
The Joining Fee is not refundable under any circumstances.
Following the above mentioned 14 day period, the initial membership payment and each subsequent Monthly Recurring Payment made is not refundable under any circumstances but you may cancel your membership subject to the following cancellation polices.
We will manage and process the cancellation of your membership upon receipt of a properly submitted cancellation request. Should your Recurring Payment be cancelled without submission of a cancellation request form at any time you may incur fees as a result of any missed payments. If you wish to have confirmation of any amendments to your account at any stage please contact a member of the GYMNATION team.
Refunds will be made onto the original mode of payment and will be processed within 10 to 20 days depends on the issuing bank of the credit card.
CANCELATION WITHIN CONTRACT / FIXED TERM PERIOD
You may cancel your membership whilst still within your contracted minimum number of Monthly Recurring Payments (i.e. Fixed Term Membership of 12 months), under the following circumstances and subject to you providing satisfactory evidence:
Relocation: This agreement can be cancelled in the event that your new permanent address is outside Dubai upon GYMNATION satisfactory receipt of proof of your relocation and new address.
Long term (over 3 month) illness or injury: This agreement may be cancelled in the event of an illness, injury or medical condition which in the written opinion of a doctor or other suitably qualified medical practitioner prohibits exercise for 3 months or longer upon appropriate proof being provided. The writing opinion must be dated within 30 days of the request to cancel.
Pregnancy: This agreement can be cancelled if you become pregnant upon the appropriate written proof being given.
Please note – ANY Cancellation for the above reasons will not be effected until the appropriate proof is provided to a member of the GYMNATION team and you receive a written confirmation response from GYMNATION.
ALL CANCELATION NOTICE PERIODS
Any cancellation request regardless of contract type or situation requires a minimum of 30 days' notice and all cancellations are subject to satisfactory proof of evidence should you still be within a minimum timeframe commitment before the cancellation of the membership will take effect. You acknowledge and understand that one further recurring payment will be taken from your account if such a recurring payment is due within the aforementioned 30 days notice.
How much notice do I need to give to cancel my membership?
Can I freeze my membership?
Please note – ANY Freeze will not be effected until the appropriate proof is provided. Once your freeze has been processed you will not have access to the facilities until the freeze period has come to an end.
WE DO NOT FREEZE MEMBERSHIP DUE TO HOLIDAYS OR TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS.
