During summertime, my fitness routine tends to slack off, which is likely a common experience.

Indulgence in food, Aperol Spritzes, and late nights often overshadows healthy habits—and rightfully so. Everyone deserves a break.

However, as we return to our regular schedules, it's time to reactivate that gym membership.

The first class back feels different; dragging yourself out of bed for that initial 6 am alarm after a summer break is always tough. Yet, we’ve found some classes that might just boost your motivation.

Don’t be hard on yourself for taking a break; instead, practice self-compassion and celebrate the fact that you’re resuming your workout routine—and yes, reading this article counts as a step.

The Den

For teachers, cabin crew, and those who naturally rise with the sun, rejoice!

The Den has launched additional class timings, including a new 5 am slot, now offering sessions at 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 am, plus 5 and 6 pm.

From upper body workouts on Mondays to a Saturday "throwdown" (which is as intense as it sounds), this gym challenges you every day. Plus, they’re offering a two-class free trial—see you there!

Barry’s

Well-known for a good workout, Barry's classes are always a great choice.

Among Cosmo favorites are any sessions led by Connor (they’re fantastic, if you know, you know), Victoria’s lower body LIFT classes, and if you're up for a challenge, try the double treadmill session—you’ll thank me later.

Studio 14

While Pilates in Dubai can sometimes seem a bit pretentious, Studio 14 is refreshingly genuine, offering warmth and a welcoming atmosphere.

Each room houses about six Reformer machines, making classes intimate, almost like group personal training where you can build rapport with both your instructor and peers. Their activewear collection is also commendable.

Trax Running Club

Although it still feels quite hot outside, you might question why I recommend a running club.

Rest assured, cooler weather is approaching!

I appreciate running for its solitude and the ability to disconnect, but if you need extra motivation, are training for a race, or just want to meet new people, Trax is a perfect fit.
