Organizers Ethara have announced that the event is on track to set new benchmarks as the championship battle heads towards a nail-biting conclusion.

With just seven race weekends remaining, the title fight is incredibly close. McLaren teammates Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris are locked in a thrilling duel, while Red Bull’s four-time champion Max Verstappen is making a strong comeback.

All eyes are on the showdown in Abu Dhabi, scheduled for December 4–7, which promises edge-of-your-seat action down to the final lap.

Building on Record Success

The excitement for this year's race follows a record-breaking 2024 event. Ethara revealed that last year's Grand Prix generated Dh1.25 billion in visitor spending, a 6.8 percent increase from the previous year.

Attendance also surged by 12.9 percent to a record 192,000 fans, with an impressive 70 percent of spectators traveling from abroad.

This momentum has carried over into 2025, with the majority of tickets for the Yas Marina Circuit race already sold out.

The intense championship battle has solidified the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix as a must-see global event for both sport and entertainment.

Saif Al Noaimi, CEO of Ethara, commented on the event's growing appeal. "This figure demonstrates how we’ve evolved the event into an entertainment and tourism destination that transcends sport," he said.

"With an unprecedented level of advance sales for the 2025 race, fans are telling us they trust in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix experience."

A Global Spectacle

In 2024, more than half of all international visitors were in Abu Dhabi for the first time, with many extending their trips to enjoy a full UAE holiday.

The event's iconic Yasalam After-Race Concerts also drew record crowds, with 110,000 fans enjoying four nights of live music at Etihad Park.

The Grand Prix's global reach is undeniable, capturing a massive broadcast audience of 62 million viewers for last year's finale. As the 2025 championship climax approaches, this year's event is poised to be just as unmissable.
