Abu Dhabi Hosts One Run Race

Abu Dhabi is set to host the One Run race on May 24, 2025, at Hudayriyat Island. The event is a joint initiative by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) and Hero League.

Participants will have the option to compete in four different race categories, including a half marathon, 10km, 5km, and 1km runs, ensuring inclusivity for people of all ages and fitness levels.

This race supports ADSC's mission to encourage healthy living and nurture a culture of sports within the community. The aim is to integrate sports into daily routines and enhance the overall quality of life in the emirate.

Taking place simultaneously worldwide and recognized as the largest half marathon globally, the ninth edition of the One Run International Running Race is expected to draw participants from over 30 nations. Countries such as Russia,

Cameroon, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Morocco, China, Serbia, Pakistan, Argentina, Venezuela, India, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Bahrain, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kuwait, Tajikistan, Nepal, Turkey, Yemen, Greece, Belarus, Egypt, Slovenia, South Africa, Peru, Togo, Brazil, Armenia, Malaysia, Jordan, and Chile will be represented.

Talal Mustafa Al Hashmi, Executive Director of the Events Sector at ADSC, stated, "We are proud to collaborate with Hero League in bringing this event to Hudayriyat Island, a leading hub for sports activities in Abu Dhabi.

The One Run race is a part of our continuous efforts to support community initiatives and promote sports as a daily practice, ultimately enhancing the quality of life in the emirate."

Since its establishment in 2017, the One Run International Running Race has grown tremendously, earning two Guinness World Records.

It expanded its footprint internationally in 2023 and took place across 15 countries in 2024, reinforcing its global significance and widespread appeal.
