Abu Dhabi Hosts World's Largest Half Marathon

Abu Dhabi welcomed the "One Run" International Running Race, celebrated as the world's largest half marathon, on May 24, 2025, at Hudayriyat Island.

Organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council in collaboration with Hero League, the event attracted over 3,000 participants of all ages and fitness levels.

Runners had the option to compete in four different categories: half marathon, 10 kilometers, 5 kilometers, and 1 kilometer.

This event supports the Abu Dhabi Sports Council's mission to encourage healthier lifestyles and embed sports into everyday life, aiming to build a stronger sports culture and improve the quality of life in the emirate.

Since its launch in 2017, the "One Run" has achieved impressive growth, earning two Guinness World Records.

The race went global in 2023 and expanded to 15 countries in 2024, showcasing its international popularity and importance.
