At just 19 years old, Alice Pereira is set to rewrite UFC history this fall as the youngest female fighter to debut in the promotion.
The moment became official last December when both the UFC and Dana White shared a video of Pereira signing her contract.
The historic opportunity came after her T-shirt message aimed at UFC matchmaker Mick Maynard caught attention during her December 14 win.
The bold move paid off, as Maynard personally called her during the holidays to confirm her UFC signing.
Reflecting on her hard-fought rise, Pereira shared her humble beginnings in an Instagram post.
“It’s surreal to think that last year I was just a girl cleaning gym equipment, selling pies to cover training costs, studying and doing three workouts a day.
I used every free moment to collapse and rest because I was always exhausted,” she wrote.
At 19 years, 8 months, and 24 days old, Pereira will step into the Octagon on September 13 at Noche UFC, narrowly surpassing South Korea’s Chan Mi Jeon as the youngest female competitor in UFC history. She will face Mexican fighter Montserrat Rendon in a bout recently confirmed for the San Antonio card.
“The time has come! September 13th is my UFC Fight Night debut in Texas. The war will be against Mexican Montserrat Rendon.
It’s time for the world to meet the Golden Girl,” Pereira announced on social media, celebrating the milestone moment.
Known as “The Golden Girl,” Pereira’s rise in MMA has been meteoric. Making her professional debut in August 2023, she has remained remarkably active, securing her UFC debut in under a year.
Her record is equally impressive — she’s finished five out of six fights, including four knockouts and one submission victory.
This debut will not only mark a personal triumph for Pereira but will also introduce a new era of young talent into the UFC spotlight.
All eyes are now on Texas as the world prepares to meet the Golden Girl and witness history unfold.
