Athletes Join Dubai's Assault Course

Ski Dubai, in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council, has revealed the winners of the 15th annual Ice Warrior Challenge held today.

This edition saw a record-breaking participation of 626 athletes from 68 different countries, including 263 Emiratis, who tackled over 20 obstacles in sub-zero conditions, testing both their mental and physical endurance.

Awards were given in three categories: Elite Fitness, Regular, and Team.

Elite Category Winners

In the Top 3 Male Elite Fitness category, Hallvard Borsheim secured the first position with a time of 00:29:07.

He was followed by Yeison Londono Franco at 00:36:55 and Marc Al Onso at 00:37:19.

For the female contenders, Tetiana Maltseva led the Elite Female category finishing at 00:37:16, with Olga Naumova and Paulina Bascaro finishing at 00:40:17 and 00:45:02, respectively.

Regular Category Winners

Mikhail Rudik and Luz Barrios claimed the top spots in the Regular category, finishing with times of 00:20:34 and 00:24:39, respectively.

Mohamed Moulay and Nigina Lolakova followed with times of 00:21:44 and 00:27:54. Rounding out the top three were Jad Hamdan and Leena Reda, who completed the challenge in 00:22:33 and 00:28:44, respectively.

Team Category Winners

Kebab Glorious emerged victorious in the Team Category with a time of 00:36:32. The Ski Turtles finished closely behind at 00:36:33, followed by Gambiteers at 00:41:34.

Notable attendees included His Excellency Saeed Hareb, Secretary General, Dubai Sports Council, and other esteemed members such as Nasser Al Rahma and Ali Omar Al Balooshi.

The event was also graced by Ibrahim Khadim from the UAE Winter Sports Federation, and executives from Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment.

All winners received their trophies and prizes, while every participant received a commemorative medal and a souvenir T-shirt upon completing the race.

Ski Dubai, nominated for the "World’s Best Indoor Ski Resort" at the World Ski Awards for the ninth consecutive year, continues to partner with Dubai Sports Council to promote a healthy, active lifestyle and make snow sports more accessible to everyone.
