That’s why taking part in a Snow Duathlon sounds like the ultimate cool experience.
For the first time, Dubai will host a unique event that combines running and stationary cycling with an icy twist at Ski Dubai, turning the snowy indoors into a fitness playground.
Organized by the Dubai Fitness Council and CRANK Dubai Fitness Studio, the Snow Duathlon is set to kick off on June 29.
This multisport endurance event typically features running and cycling, or sometimes skiing, but in Dubai, it’s all about running and biking in sub-zero conditions.
Participants aged 13 to 60 will face this -4°C fitness challenge, starting with a 5 km stationary bike ride, followed by a 3 km (three loops) or 5 km (five loops) run.
Whether you join as a solo competitor or partner up in a team of two, the event promises a fitness experience like no other.
Finishers will earn a commemorative medal, while the top three performers in each category will be honored on the podium and awarded special prizes. Entry is priced at Dhs189.
If the thought of breaking a sweat in the snow isn’t quite up your alley, there are plenty of other ways to cool off.
From nighttime swims at venues like Cloud 22 at Atlantis The Royal to the vibrant Barasti Beach Bar, there’s a refreshing experience out there for everyone.
