Body Fit Training (BFT), the Australian-born fitness franchise backed by Xponential Fitness, is carving its path into the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
Known for its strength-focused group workouts, BFT has ambitious plans to launch over 50 studios in the region over the next decade.
With a master franchise agreement in place, the expansion includes Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE, and other MENA countries.
Qatar has been chosen as the regional headquarters, reflecting the country’s strong commitment to health and wellness.
The first location—a flagship studio in Doha’s West Walk development—opened earlier this year.
At over 1,000 square meters, it’s the largest BFT facility globally and comes complete with premium amenities and a state-of-the-art fitness approach.
Dr. Mohamed Abdou, a business strategist with the Edar Group, is leading the MENA rollout.
Having first experienced BFT at a UK studio, he is now spearheading the brand’s regional growth. Speaking about the venture, Dr. Mohamed said, “Qatar’s dedication to health and wellness, coupled with its vibrant community, makes it the perfect home for BFT in the MENA region.”
The 10-year strategy will kick off with new studios planned for Riyadh, Dubai, and Kuwait City within the next 12 months.

What Sets BFT Apart
BFT’s model offers 50-minute progression-focused classes that combine strength and conditioning to deliver real results.
The back-to-basics approach resonates with members seeking substance in fitness.
These routines are enhanced by scientifically designed programs, cutting-edge technology, and a community-driven atmosphere, delivering a unique workout experience.
“BFT offers an unmatched fitness experience,” Dr. Mohamed shared. “From the moment I stepped into a BFT studio, I knew this was the right model for the Middle East and North Africa.”
Growing Global Momentum
BFT has been on an impressive growth trajectory since its founding by Cameron Falloon in 2018.
The brand has sold over 730 franchises and operates more than 320 studios across 11 countries. Outside North America, studio revenue has seen a year-over-year increase of nearly 10%.
February’s MENA debut in Doha represents a significant milestone. BFT International Global CEO Richard Burnet highlighted the importance of this launch, calling Doha “one of the world’s most dynamic cities.”
“With Dr. Mohamed Abdou’s leadership and a shared vision for delivering exceptional fitness experiences, we are confident that the BFT brand will thrive in this vibrant region,” Burnet remarked.
With a proven formula for success and a strong strategy in place, BFT is set to revolutionize the fitness landscape in the MENA region.
