Fitness enthusiasts across the UK are turning to social media, calling for Dubai’s innovative, ice-inspired gym class to be introduced locally as Britain battles another sweltering heatwave.

GymNation, the Dubai-based gym behind the viral sensation, has been flooded with messages from Brits eager for relief from the scorching temperatures.

Designed to combat Dubai’s oppressive 45°C heat, the ice gym class is a high-intensity workout that blends exercise with cold-based challenges.

Social media users have been vocal about their desire to see the class exported.

One commenter, @westonroadrennovation, wrote, “These guys need to export this to the UK; we need some serious help if we’re going to survive the next heatwave.”

Another echoed, “Roasting in the South East — can’t fly to Dubai, so please send the class our way.”

@scarlett.mss expressed their struggle, adding, “Desperate for this in the UK!!! If we get a third heatwave, I think I might lose the will.”

GymNation’s chief marketing officer, Rory McEntee, explained the concept behind the class, saying, “It was created as a genuine solution to the extreme heat, which has made traditional workouts challenging for our members.”

Developed alongside leading sports scientist Aderito Manuel and GymNation’s team of trainers, the class combines cold-focused innovations with high-intensity interval training (HIIT).

McEntee noted, “The class has been fully booked since launch, and we even had to introduce a ballot system to manage demand.”

Despite the UK’s growing interest, McEntee said there are no immediate plans to bring the class overseas. However, he left the door open, saying, “We certainly won’t rule it out in the future.”

For now, Brits will have to sweat it out — but with such vocal demand, the possibility of an ice gym class in the UK might not be far off.
