The eighth Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) is set to begin on October 26, 2024, offering a variety of fitness activities across the city to encourage more people to lead an active lifestyle.

Established in 2017 with the support of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the initiative aims to position Dubai as the world's most active city.

The DFC motivates participants to engage in 30 minutes of daily exercise for 30 days, starting October 26, 2024.

The city will transform into a large-scale fitness arena, hosting 30 days of engaging fitness events and community activities aimed at helping everyone achieve the 30x30 goals.

Running until November 24, 2024, the DFC offers a unique experience for all ages and abilities.

This year's program includes a wider variety of workouts at fitness villages and community centers around the city, combining classic and new fitness trends, along with major events at iconic Dubai venues to inspire activity.

A key event, the Dubai Run, sponsored by Mai Dubai, allows participants to run on Sheikh Zayed Road, with options for a 10-km challenge or a 5-km route. The run is a highlight of the DFC's closing events.

Saeed Hareb, Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council, highlighted the DFC as a testament to Dubai's commitment to promoting a healthier lifestyle, inspiring long-term well-being beyond the 30-minute daily exercise.

The challenge encourages individuals, families, and communities to surpass their fitness limits, discover new interests, and redefine an active life.

Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, emphasized the DFC's impact on millions, fostering a healthier lifestyle since its inception.

Each edition of the event brings together people from diverse backgrounds to prioritize fitness and wellness.

This year's focus is on community engagement with a wide array of fitness experiences and events designed to unite families, friends, and colleagues toward better health.
