The Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) is set to begin on Saturday, October 28, and will continue until November 24 this year.
In its eighth year, this month-long fitness event in the UAE invites residents and visitors of all ages to engage in 30 minutes of exercise daily for 30 continuous days.
Last year, over 2.4 million people participated, including more than 35,000 cyclists for the Dubai Ride and over 226,000 runners for the Dubai Run.
This year's schedule, like last year, will be filled with free sports, community-driven fitness activities, and signature events such as the Dubai Ride and Dubai Run, where participants have the opportunity to cycle or run past Dubai's famous landmarks on Sheikh Zayed Road.
Initiated in 2017 by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, the DFC aims to weave physical activity into daily routines, providing benefits that extend beyond the duration of the event.
Residents should save the dates for upcoming events such as the Dubai Stand-Up Paddle on Saturday, November 2; the Dubai Ride on Sunday,
November 10; and the grand finale, the Dubai Run, on Sunday, November 24, 2024.
Details about this year's events and registration will be shared in the coming weeks.
