The UAE witnessed a groundbreaking event as the ‘Yalla Let's Walk’ Steps Challenge, hosted on Fitze—the app that rewards users for walking—concluded with a remarkable and life-changing moment.

Over 16,000 participants entered the competition, driven solely by their steps and determination.

Together, they recorded an incredible 4.8 billion steps in collaboration with Chery, AW Rostamani, and Oasis Mall Dubai. For the first time in Dubai's history, someone walked their way to winning a brand-new car.

After 30 days of relentless effort, Syed Basit, an Indian national, emerged victorious. He was selected as the grand prize winner in a draw conducted by a representative from the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism.

His prize was a sleek and stylish Chery Tiggo 4 Pro—a milestone moment for fitness and rewards in the UAE.

The official winner draw was overseen by a Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism representative, adding credibility and excitement to the event.

When Syed received the call announcing his win, it was a moment filled with unmatched exhilaration.

Soon after, he visited the Chery showroom to receive his prize during a handover ceremony on February 10, 2025.

His victory is proof that every step toward improving one’s health can lead to extraordinary outcomes—not just in fitness but also in life.

More Than Just a Challenge—A Fitness Movement

This event wasn’t just about a competition; it represented a major shift in promoting health and wellness.

When big names like Chery, AW Rostamani, and Oasis Mall Dubai unite for initiatives of this scale, it signifies a bold step toward creating a healthier, more active UAE.

"In today’s world, brands are moving toward purpose-driven marketing—making a tangible impact while fostering deeper connections with their customers," explained Parinita Kumar, Marketing Head at Fitze UAE. "By rewarding people for something as fundamental yet empowering as walking, brands are not only encouraging health and sustainability but also building loyalty, engagement, and a sense of community.

At Fitze, our goal is to make fitness both accessible and rewarding, and it’s inspiring to see leading companies take action to promote positive change."

The Yalla Let's Walk Challenge achieved more than just encouraging participants to stay active—it sparked a nationwide movement.

It brought people across the UAE together, uniting them under a shared goal of health, fitness, and meaningful rewards.

A Bright and Active Future

This is just the start. The Fitze app is already preparing for new challenges that aim to be even more rewarding.

These initiatives will continue to promote sustainability and active lifestyles, proving that walking in the UAE isn’t just beneficial for your health—it can be truly transformative.
