Dubai Sports Council Launches Our Summer is Sporty Initiative

The Dubai Sports Council has introduced the "Our Summer is Sporty" initiative, running until the end of August.
The program aims to promote community-wide physical activity and enhance Dubai's status as one of the world’s most active cities. It features a wide variety of inclusive events and activities spread across Dubai.

A Diverse Line-Up of Events
The initiative includes exciting activities like the first-ever Snow Duathlon, snow yoga, indoor mall races, and water sports events.
These activities cater to various preferences, including beach, snow, mountain, and water sports, as well as programs designed for women, senior citizens, and People of Determination.
Highlights of the Program
- Snow Sports: Ski Dubai will host events such as the Snow Duathlon on June 29, snow yoga, snow walking, and fitness classes. Special programs include adaptive skiing for People of Determination, women's snow hikes, and ice skating championships.
- Mountain Sports: Hatta's schedule includes hiking, trail running, kayaking, yoga, and air-conditioned sports sessions.
- Water Adventures: Jumeirah beaches will feature kayaking, stand-up paddling, and wakeboarding. Collaborative events with the Dubai Sailing and Yacht Club include summer sailing races.
- Indoor Mall Races: Shopping malls such as Dubai Hills Mall, Mall of the Emirates, and Dubai Festival City Mall will host indoor running races.
Programs for the Community
The initiative offers recreational activities for various groups, including women’s football and basketball games, fitness classes for senior citizens, and summer camps for children.
Highlights include multi-sport training sessions for youth and inclusive sports events for People of Determination.
