Vladimir Burdun serves as the President of the World Strongman Federation and the CEO of Emirates Sports.

The Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (EBBF) operates under the leadership of Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Bin Saif Al Sharqi.

The bodybuilding community in the UAE harbors ambitious yet achievable goals.

In January 2025, the UAE Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation formed a strategic partnership with Emirates Sports Group, based in Dubai.

This agreement was signed in the presence of Sheikh Abdullah.

Strongman, a competitive sport, challenges participants' strength and endurance through heavy lifting and demanding events.

The collaboration aims to cultivate the Strongman sport, enhance the development of strength and fitness disciplines in the UAE, and create a significant impact in this field.

It outlines the organization of large-scale competitions on both local and international scales, with a long-term goal to expand the sport's influence.

Burdun envisions Dubai becoming the global hub for Strongman, capitalizing on the city's infrastructure and athletic resources.

The agreement is set to last four years, with an option for renewal.

Plans are also in place to establish an educational academy dedicated to strength sports, including Strongman competitions, tug-of-war, and arm wrestling.

The collaboration further aims to launch a competitive fitness league and advocate for functional fitness activities.
