Landmark Group, the regional operator of a global brand, announced plans to open six new fitness clubs in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with additional locations in development.
Energized for expansion, Fitness First Middle East intends to not only establish new premises but also overhaul all of its existing 56 clubs.
The upgrades will include enhanced equipment, fitness screenings, outdoor and functional training spaces, along with new amenities like ice baths, saunas, and dedicated studios for boxing, Pilates, and cycling.
CEO Mark Buchanan asserts that these investments in the fitness experience will significantly transform the industry landscape.
Fitness Frenzy
With aspirations of becoming the world's leading wellness hub, Dubai's fitness sector is expected to hit a market value of $1 billion by 2030, showcasing significant growth in its premium segment.
Warehouse Gym has set an ambitious target to increase its presence from 10 to 40 gyms within four years. Wellfit is gearing up to unveil its fourth luxury center in Dubai by the end of 2024.
In Saudi Arabia, Equinox is working on two high-end wellness resorts, while Dubai’s fitness and recovery-oriented SIRO has launched operations this year.
At the same time, several fitness chains are catering to budget-conscious consumers.
GymNation, known for its extensive amenities, and the straightforward PureGym Arabia are planning expansions, while Self Esteem Brands’ Anytime Fitness is launching its inaugural club in Dubai this year.
