Fitness Hits New Heights at The Torch Doha

The world of fitness just reached impressive new heights—literally.

The Torch Doha has unveiled the world's highest indoor gym, standing an incredible 247 meters above ground on the 50th floor of its iconic tower.

Representatives from Guinness World Records were on hand to officially recognize this remarkable achievement, awarding it a unique record title.

"Congratulations, you are now officially amazing," proclaimed Kanzy El-Defrawy, a Guinness World Records adjudicator, while confirming the groundbreaking accomplishment.

This state-of-the-art fitness center is nestled within The Torch Club, an exclusive members-only wellness retreat.

Combining cutting-edge technology with warm Qatari hospitality, the gym occupies the 50th and 51st floors and offers breathtaking views of Doha.

From inside, members can admire sights like the Khalifa International Stadium, Aspire Zone, and Aspire Dome.

Commenting on the unique milestone, El-Defrawy noted, “This record is a new title without a previous or current holder,” adding that all criteria had been duly met.

The official certificate was presented to Abdulla Nasse Al-Naimi, acting CEO of the Aspire Zone Foundation, and Wael Al-Sharif, Area General Manager of The Torch Doha.

This latest feat is not The Torch’s first venture into global recognition. The building, originally constructed for the 15th Asian Games in 2006 and designed to resemble an Olympic torch, also holds the record for the world’s largest external 360° screen, installed in time for the FIFA World Cup 2022.

Now, The Torch is taking wellness to the next level. According to a statement, The Torch Club will provide premium Technogym services and culturally inspired wellness experiences to its members, further solidifying its status as a standout landmark in Doha’s skyline.
