RIYADH: The "Move Your World" summer 2024 initiative by the Saudi Sports for All Federation is designed to encourage regular exercise among individuals.
Following a comprehensive survey of both men and women throughout the Kingdom, the federation uncovered various hurdles that inhibit people's daily engagement in physical exercise, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency on Monday.
The inquiry aimed to uncover the main factors contributing to sporadic involvement in sports or physical exercises among adult citizens and residents.
Findings revealed that 46 percent of the participants lacked sufficient time in their schedules for physical activities or sports. Health concerns, disabilities, or injuries were cited by about 14 percent of the respondents. Social or family commitments were mentioned by roughly 13 percent, while 8 percent expressed apprehension about sustaining injuries.
With the objective of increasing awareness about the advantages of staying active and assisting individuals in overcoming obstacles to participation, the SPA noted the federation's efforts.
The "Move Your World" campaign for the summer will introduce weekly challenges to inspire engagement and underscore the importance of staying active for people of all age groups.
