Following a remarkable and multi-award-winning 2024, during which the UAE-based company doubled its business size, successfully opened six gyms across Saudi Arabia, and exceeded 110,000 members, one might assume GymNation’s leadership team would take some well-earned rest in 2025.

But the reality is quite the opposite. GymNation is preparing for an even more significant year in 2025, leveraging its remarkable success from 2024 with an ambitious plan focused on growth and innovation.

This strategy aims to further cement its reputation as the top fitness brand in the Middle East.

Loren Holland, CEO and Founder of GymNation, outlined his vision for the upcoming year, stating, “2025 is all about sustained growth while staying committed to our mission of making fitness affordable and accessible to all.

Our priorities include expanding further into the GCC, driving technological innovations, and continuously enhancing our product offerings to provide the best fitness experience in the region.”

New Locations and Regional Growth

Following its successful introduction in Saudi Arabia in 2024, GymNation is preparing for significant expansion in the Kingdom while also targeting growth in other GCC countries like Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar.

To spearhead this aggressive real estate growth, the company has appointed Colin Carter, an industry expert, as Director of Property and Acquisitions.

Carter shared his outlook, saying, “We have an impressive pipeline of new GymNation locations across the region. By the end of 2025, we plan to have opened at least 20 new gyms.”

Innovation and Technology Investments

Continuing its substantial investment in technology, GymNation will leverage its in-house tech, data, and development teams to create highly customized, data-driven solutions.

These improvements will enhance personalization, streamline operations, and elevate the member experience.

The planned technological advancements include AI-powered tools that analyze member preferences and behaviors for tailored fitness programs, as well as automated systems that boost operational efficiency.

Karl Foster, GymNation’s CTO, emphasized the vision, saying, “We’re not just adopting technology—we’re creating it.

By heavily investing in AI and automation, we’re building smarter, more intuitive systems that redefine how our members interact with GymNation, placing us at the forefront of the global fitness industry.”

Enhanced Products and Facilities

GymNation’s commitment to innovation also extends to its gym offerings. Throughout 2025, the company will launch new features such as the first-ever HYROX Performance Centers in the Middle East, dedicated Reformer Pilates studios, and state-of-the-art recovery facilities.

COO and Founder Frank Afeaki highlighted this commitment, explaining, “We’re setting a new benchmark for what gyms should provide, not just at our affordable price point but at any level.

It’s not just about introducing new features; we’re also reinvesting in our existing locations.

For instance, we recently completed a $600,000 renovation of our Al Quoz location to ensure we continue delivering an exceptional experience for our members.”

Team Growth and Expertise Development

To support its rapid growth, GymNation is prioritizing investment in its team, which it regards as its most valuable resource.

Plans for 2025 include significant staffing across key departments such as technology, marketing, finance, and operations to back its ambitious expansion goals.

Additionally, the company will continue to extend equity to its senior management team, ensuring they share in GymNation’s long-term growth and success.

Ant Martland, CCO and Founder, noted, “Growth isn’t just about building new gyms—it’s about having the best talent to achieve that growth in ways others can’t replicate.

We’re building a world-class team aligned toward driving innovation, achieving operational excellence, and unlocking our full potential for growth in 2025 and beyond.”

GymNation’s plan for 2025 is nothing short of extraordinary, with bold strategies in expansion, technology, facilities, and talent aimed at solidifying its place as the leader in the region’s fitness industry.
