Retailer Gymshark is making a strategic marketing shift to rebrand itself as a gym-centric company, standing out from the crowded sports and athleisure markets in the UK and US.
Essentially, Gymshark strives to be recognized as the primary destination for gym enthusiasts, a message that is particularly pivotal for its expansion in the US market.
Gymshark has introduced a new brand platform called 'We Do Gym,' which will unify all its marketing efforts over the next year.
This platform emphasizes Gymshark's strong commitment to the gym community and its dedication to serving that audience.
“At Gymshark, we’ve always blazed our own trail, and now we’re being very deliberate about it. People sometimes mistake us for a sports or athleisure brand, but we’re a gym brand; that’s a novel concept to many,” said Gymshark’s Chief Brand Officer, Noel Mack.
Gymshark is a British multinational athletic apparel retailer headquartered in Solihull, West Midlands, England.
It was founded in June 2012 by Ben Francis and Lewis Morgan.
