Interactive Strength Inc. (NASDAQ:TRNR), known for its innovative fitness equipment brands CLMBR and FORME, has announced an exclusive distribution agreement and an initial six-figure order for CLMBR with MEFITPRO in the rapidly growing Gulf region.
MEFITPRO’s CEO, Greg Boucher, commented:
"We take pride in distributing top-tier brands across the Gulf countries and are enthusiastic about CLMBR's potential here.
After experiencing CLMBR at IHRSA earlier this year and participating in a group fitness class at Crunch Fitness West Hollywood, we knew it was a perfect addition to our portfolio.
CLMBR's versatility is a great fit for both group fitness classes and gym floors, providing a superb low-impact training alternative."
TRNR’s Co-Founder and CEO, Trent Ward, stated:
“The GCC countries present a significant growth opportunity for CLMBR due to their long-term GDP growth projections and increasing fitness penetration.
These young, affluent markets are among the fastest developing globally.
MEFITPRO, a regional leader with successful brand partnerships including TRX, Woodway, Fitbench, and Wattbike, is an ideal partner for us."
Ward added, "We aim to sell to at least ten international distributors or key accounts this year. We anticipate that international sales will match the U.S. market size.
We expect to gain the necessary certifications to sell in Europe by the third quarter, enabling distributors to meet demand indicated at IHRSA and FIBO events.
Beyond the U.S., major fitness markets like the UK, Germany, France, and Spain show strong potential for CLMBR."
Gym chains are increasingly incorporating CLMBRs into their cardio areas, often replacing ellipticals.
Climbing offers an efficient full-body workout with more posterior chain activation than other equipment.
Some gym chains are also piloting group classes with multiple CLMBRs, receiving positive feedback similar to that from Studio CLMBR in Denver for years.
