New Game Room Opens This Month

As September marks the end of summer, residents in the UAE can expect temperatures to gradually decrease.

Along with the cooler climate, Dubai residents have something exciting to anticipate this month—a novel entertainment experience that merges gaming and fitness, the first of its kind in the MENA region.

Designed for individuals aged six and older, this experience offers 10 levels of difficulty, ranging from easy to extreme.

Named 'Activate', the facility includes nine interactive game rooms utilizing advanced technology that reacts in real-time, offering an exhilarating, fast-paced adventure filled with adrenaline.

Participants can join forces in cooperative mode or compete against each other. Progress is tracked on a global leaderboard, as each Activate location features identical game rooms, enabling players worldwide to connect and compete.

Each game room can host two to five players and tests both physical and mental skills. By merging gaming, entertainment, and exercise, participants can jump, climb, dodge, and solve puzzles across 50+ games.

These include the TikTok-renowned Mega Grid, with over 500 multi-activated colored lights, as well as advanced games that integrate digital and physical aspects like Hoops, Strike, Portals, Press, Hide, and Control.

The new Activate facility will open in City Centre Mirdif, Dubai. Originally established in Winnipeg, Activate currently operates over 30 locations in Canada and the US, with plans to expand by opening 15 more across North America this year, alongside the Dubai location.
