Nike Launches Skims Fitness Brand

Nike Inc. and Kim Kardashian’s underwear brand, Skims, are collaborating to launch a new fitness-focused brand for women.
According to a joint statement from Nike and Skims, the two companies are creating an “extensive line” of activewear, footwear, and accessories under the brand name NikeSkims.
The collaboration aims to establish a long-term vision for body-hugging activewear designed specifically for women.
“This partnership is the result of our shared vision, creating products that are carefully designed to sculpt and perform for every body,” said Kim Kardashian, co-founder of Skims.
The debut collection from NikeSkims is set to launch in the spring, as confirmed by Kardashian in the announcement. Plans are also in place to expand the brand globally by 2026.
Nike has recently committed to increasing its focus on female athletes as part of a broader strategy to revitalize the company under new CEO Elliott Hill.
Earlier this month, the brand aired a Super Bowl ad for the first time in decades, highlighting prominent female athletes such as WNBA star Caitlin Clark, sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson, and gymnast Jordan Chiles.
On Tuesday, Nike’s stock rose by as much as 2.2% in premarket trading in New York, though overall, the stock is down 3.5% for the year as of Friday’s close.
