PureGym's Rapid Growth in Saudi Arabia

Susan Turner, the CEO of PureGym Middle East, shared with HCM that the company is expanding its footprint in Saudi Arabia with the debut of its first gyms in Jeddah next month, followed by another opening planned for October. These gyms will operate as franchises.

PureGym, known for its affordable and contract-free model, now serves over two million members across six markets, including Europe, the US, and the Middle East.

Turner noted that there has been a strong demand for the company's initial gyms in Riyadh, Dammam, and Khobar.

The new Jeddah location will open in the Al Safa neighborhood, featuring separate facilities for men and women.

The third gym in Jeddah, PureGym Ladies Jeddah Al Zahra, will be exclusively for women and is scheduled to open in early October. Male gyms will operate 24/7, while female gyms will have extended hours.

“At PureGym, our mission is to make fitness accessible, flexible, and affordable for as many people as possible,” Turner stated.

"Following the consistent demand for our facilities in Riyadh, Dammam, and Khobar, we're excited to expand into Jeddah with three new gyms.

These gyms will launch under the PureGym Arabia brand, which is the franchise partner of PureGym Group, holding exclusive franchise rights in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and the broader MENA region.

Recently, PureGym announced Clive Chesser as its new CEO, with Humphrey Cobbold transitioning to chairman. The company aims to open 130 gyms throughout the Middle East and North Africa by 2027.

In the USA, the company operates under the name Pure Fitness.
