The newly appointed leaders bring a wide range of expertise in marketing, financial management, partnerships, business development, and construction.

These additions are designed to cement GymNation's status as the region's leading fitness brand while advancing its mission to deliver affordable, accessible, and inclusive fitness solutions across the Middle East.

Rory McEntee joins as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and will focus on creative marketing strategies, brand partnerships, engaging campaigns, and community-driven initiatives.

His proficiency in brand storytelling and fostering engagement will bolster GymNation’s reputation as a culturally relevant and innovative fitness provider.

Rob MacTighearnain, the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), brings a robust background in scaling high-growth companies and leading strategic financial operations.

With a wealth of experience in SaaS, fintech, and startups, his expertise will be instrumental in driving GymNation’s financial growth.

Sophie Hamilton-McEntee steps into the role of Head of Corporate Sales. With her deep knowledge of corporate wellness strategies and a passion for mental and physical health advocacy, Sophie will lead initiatives aimed at improving employee well-being and fostering healthier work cultures.

This will be achieved through an expansive network of corporate partnerships in the region.

Joining from competitor PureGym, Samy Al Aaser takes on the role of Projects Director, overseeing gym fit-outs and expansion efforts across both new and existing facilities in GymNation’s portfolio.

Additionally, Colin Carter, Director of Property and Acquisitions, is now supported by a KSA-based team to drive the brand’s property acquisitions across Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar.

Complementing this strategic effort, GymNation has also set up a new regional head office in Riyadh, further solidifying its presence in the Kingdom.

Founder and CEO Loren Holland welcomed the appointments enthusiastically, saying, “We are thrilled to bring Rob, Rory, Samy, and Sophie on board.

Each of them offers a wealth of experience, unique perspectives, and strong leadership qualities, which are crucial as we enter our next phase of aggressive growth.

With their expertise and our existing team, we’re confident in doubling the size of our business yet again.

By year’s end, we aim to have 50 open or committed gyms across the Middle East, accommodating up to 500,000 members.”

Loren also highlighted the significance of the Riyadh headquarters, describing it as a milestone in GymNation’s expansion strategy.

The opening coincides with the launch of the brand’s first facilities in the Qurtubah District of Riyadh on June 20th, where over 7,000 members have already signed up.

“This strong reception underscores the demand for world-class, affordable fitness options in the Kingdom, reaffirming our commitment to rapid growth in Saudi Arabia and the region,” Loren added.
