The Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) is celebrating the success of the first-ever 2025 SFA International Sporting Events, which featured the SFA Expo and the Riyadh Marathon.
The Expo was held from February 5-7, 2025, at the JAX District, followed by the Riyadh Marathon on February 8, 2025.
The SFA Expo welcomed 35,359 attendees and featured interactive sports zones, fitness classes, health exhibits, panel discussions, and a B2B lounge for industry experts.
A major highlight of the event was the Primal Race functional fitness competition held on February 7.
The 2025 Riyadh Marathon achieved an impressive turnout, with 40,494 participants from 131 nations, doubling the 20,000 runners from 2024.
It was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Sport, the Saudi Arabian Olympic & Paralympic Committee, the Saudi Arabian Athletic Federation, and Amanat AlRiyadh.
The event included four race categories: the full marathon (42km), half marathon (21km), 10km race, and a family-friendly 4km run.
Remarkably, 67% of participants were Saudi nationals, with women making up 40% of the total number, highlighting the increasing enthusiasm for sports across the Kingdom.
The elite marathon winners, both male and female, were awarded $30,000 each, while second- and third-place finishers also received prizes.
Additionally, winners of the elite half marathon category received $5,000 for first place.
Saudi Awwal Bank (SAB) served as the presenting partner of the marathon, with ASICS, Tawuniya, Aquafina, and Gatorade acting as strategic partners for both events.
Medical services at the Expo were provided by Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Services Group (HMG).
Other marathon supporters included Ford, Calo, JP Morgan, Centrum, KAFD, Kayanee, and Joe & the Juice.
Official partners for the marathon included Kudu, MDLBEAST Radio, and BAE Systems.
Additionally, Kayanee and Delta Sports partnered with SFA Expo, while SPIMACO and Huawei supported both the Expo and marathon. The JAX District served as the venue partner for the Expo.
Looking ahead, the SFA aims to build upon this success in future editions, inspiring residents and visitors alike to adopt healthier, more active lifestyles.
