The Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) has unveiled an exciting initiative scheduled to take place from February 5 to 8, 2025, combining two prominent events—the SFA Expo and the Riyadh Marathon.
This initiative aligns with the SFA’s mission to encourage healthier lifestyles and strengthen community involvement through physical activities.
The SFA Expo is set to be held at JAX District from February 5 to 7, 2025, while the Riyadh Marathon will occur on February 8, 2025.
Participants of the Riyadh Marathon 2025 will be able to collect their bib numbers and race kits at the SFA Expo during its three-day run, ensuring a smooth preparation process.
SFA Expo serves as a distinctive platform celebrating sports, health, and fitness through interactive zones.
These zones include “Regain,” which focuses on expert talks and panel discussions; “Reclaim,” emphasizing fitness and physical activity; “Reset,” which inspires mental health and personal well-being; “Reconnect,” showcasing industry trends, technology, and innovations; “Recharge,” promoting healthy living and nutrition; and “Replay,” offering engaging activities for children and families.
The first edition of this event attracted over 12,000 visitors, with contributions from 58 exhibitors, more than 13 Saudi federations, and over 60 speakers, highlighting its global appeal as a hub for fitness and health.
The Saudi Awwal Bank (SAB) has renewed its presenting partnership for the 2025 Riyadh Marathon.
Building upon the immense success of the previous edition, which drew more than 20,000 participants from 125 countries (including a record 58% of Saudi participants), the marathon will include four race categories: a full marathon (42 km), a half marathon (21 km), a 10 km race, and a 4 km family run.
Organized by the SFA, the marathon enjoys strong support from the Ministry of Sport and the Saudi Arabian Olympic and Paralympic Committee.
Coordination with the Saudi Arabian Athletics Federation and numerous success partners further underscores its aspirations to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud, President of the SFA, stated, “Combining the SFA Expo with the 2025 Riyadh Marathon marks a key step toward making physical activity a fundamental part of daily life in the Kingdom.
It’s a celebration of athletic excellence and a chance for our community to explore new sports and adopt healthier lifestyles.”
Ms. Shaima Saleh Al-Husseini, Managing Director of the SFA, added, “Bringing these events together creates an engaging and dynamic experience for everyone.
Whether you’re an elite athlete, a fitness enthusiast, or someone striving for a healthier lifestyle, this initiative has something for everyone.”
Aligned with Vision 2030, both the SFA Expo and Riyadh Marathon aim to gather thousands of participants to celebrate physical activity and promote fitness as a significant aspect of Saudi Arabia's social culture.
The SFA Expo remains the only event of its kind in the Kingdom, while the Riyadh Marathon, recognized with the “World Athletics Elite Label Road Race” classification, boasts the distinction of being Saudi Arabia’s first official full marathon.
