The initial stage of the Sports Boulevard is now open in Riyadh.

Spanning an impressive 83 km, this newly accessible area is designed to promote active lifestyles.

With 40% of the project already completed, it represents significant progress towards Saudi Vision 2030's mission to create a sustainable, connected, and fitness-oriented city.

Five key zones are now ready for public enjoyment:

Scenic Trails and Green Areas

  • Wadi Hanifah: A 13.4 km corridor stretching from Al-Olab Dam to Jeddah Road.

  • Historic Diriyah Gate: A culturally rich site.

  • Activities Available: Walking trails, cycling routes, and horseback riding paths amongst lush greenery.

The Cycling Bridge

  • A pathway connecting Wadi Hanifah with the Promenade.

  • Designed to ensure safety for both cyclists and pedestrians.

The Promenade

  • Extends 4 km and showcases Salmani architectural design.

  • Features include dedicated cycling tracks, walking paths, and attractive water installations.

Fun for Families

  • Includes children’s playgrounds, retail outlets, and inviting rest areas.

  • Located where Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Road meets Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz Al-Awwal Road.

The Arts Tower

  • A unique structure featuring geometric panels that reflect sunlight.

  • Inspired by traditional electric tower designs.

Cycling and Pedestrian Paths

  • A 20 km internal loop within Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University.

  • Perfect for walking and cycling enthusiasts.

Sands Sports Park

  • Situated southeast of King Khalid International Airport, it offers BMX tracks, mountain biking trails, and equestrian routes.

Najdi Flower Route

  • A breathtaking 45-km trail winds through restored sand dunes, enhancing the natural landscape.

This remarkable initiative only marks the beginning. With more phases rolling out, the Sports Boulevard is set to position Riyadh as one of the world’s most livable cities.

By seamlessly integrating sports, culture, and sustainability, it’s reshaping urban life in Saudi Arabia and driving positive change.
