Worthy Appointed Group CEO at Myzone

Jay Worthy has been named Group CEO at Myzone to guide the company through its next phase of innovation and global expansion. Worthy previously held positions as President of Life Fitness and Vice President at Brunswick Corporation.

With a history of global leadership roles in the industry, Worthy led Life Fitness through a successful private equity transaction in 2019 before rejoining Brunswick, where he spearheaded international expansion and business ventures.

 His proven track record in leading international growth and driving technological innovation makes him an ideal choice to lead Myzone’s global growth strategy.

Upon his appointment, Worthy expressed: “I am incredibly excited to join the team at Myzone. I’ve used Myzone consistently for more than four years and am honored to lead a business that has supported my own well-being journey, as well as those of hundreds of thousands of individuals worldwide through its unique, community-driven wearable technology."

Current Group CEO David Stalker will transition to an advisory role, where he will continue to support global expansion and networking initiatives.

“After 35 years at the forefront of the fitness industry, I have decided to step down from my daily responsibilities at Myzone to spend more time with my family and pursue other business interests,” said David Stalker.

 “The last five years with Myzone have been incredible. I am proud of our achievements and am pleased to remain involved as a strategic advisor. Jay and I have been long-time friends and colleagues, and his fresh perspective and extensive knowledge will help drive future growth.”

Worthy added: "I would like to thank David Stalker for his leadership and the strong foundations he has laid down.

 I look forward to working with him and the leadership team on this next phase of Myzone’s journey, breaking down barriers and engaging more people in meaningful physical activity."

Worthy will assume his new role at Myzone on April 10, 2024, and will join the Myzone leadership team at FIBO to meet existing partners and explore new opportunities.

In the near term, Myzone will focus on developing MZ-Open, its ecosystem access for club members via Apple and Android smartwatches.

 In the longer term, the Myzone leadership team will focus on expanding the brand’s global reach and influence, supporting industry bodies, club operators, and international governments in addressing the world’s inactivity crisis through connecting the world via effort and movement.

The Myzone team will be attending FIBO from April 11-14 at the Cologne Exhibition Centre, exhibiting in Hall 7 on stand C04.
