Abu Dhabi Prepares for the World’s Largest Indoor Running Race

Abu Dhabi is set to host the world’s biggest indoor running event, HYROX Abu Dhabi, on July 19th at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

Organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council in partnership with HYROX, the race is part of the broader Abu Dhabi Summer Sports (ADSS) festival and welcomes participants of all fitness levels, from beginners to elite athletes.

HYROX combines endurance running with functional fitness, challenging competitors to complete eight 1-kilometer runs, each immediately followed by a unique strength-focused workout.

The event is designed to test both stamina and strength across a wide range of fitness abilities.

Athletes can choose to register as individuals, pairs (male, female, or mixed), or teams of four for the relay division.

For those looking for a greater challenge, a pro-division will be available to push their limits.

Additionally, in a first for the region, HYROX Abu Dhabi will feature an Adaptive Division, ensuring inclusivity by welcoming athletes with physical disabilities.
