Dubai is set to host one of the globe's largest cycling events in 2025—L’Etape Dubai. On Sunday, February 2, over 2,000 cyclists will take to their bikes.

The event features a demanding 110km course, but it caters not just to competitive racers.

There are also shorter routes available, making it accessible for families, children, and casual riders to enjoy the festivities.

Join me as we explore the thrilling details of this race, including registration information.

What Awaits Participants?

The centerpiece of the weekend is an arduous 110km race that will test the limits of participants.

L’Etape Dubai will unfold over a dynamic two-day schedule, offering various racing options.

While specific route details are forthcoming, participants can anticipate a scenic course highlighting Dubai’s iconic landmarks.

Expect road closures as the city transforms into a cyclist’s paradise for the weekend.

Adding to the excitement, a racing village will be established at the start and finish lines, providing an energetic atmosphere for both riders and spectators.

Saturday’s Family-Friendly Events

The cycling excitement begins on Saturday, February 1, with events designed for young cyclists and families.

The day starts with a kids’ race, offering distances of either 300 meters or 3 kilometers depending on experience level. The kids’ race kicks off at 9 am.

Following this, at 9:30 am, families can participate in a leisurely 20km ride together. The day promises plenty of entertainment and activities at the start and finish lines for everyone.

Sunday’s Main Attraction

On Sunday, February 2, the main L’Etape Dubai race—a challenging 110 kilometers—takes place.

For those seeking a less demanding option, “The Ride” offers a 60km route through the city. Both races commence at 6 am, granting cyclists the opportunity to experience Dubai’s roads in the refreshing morning air.

Ready to Participate? Here’s How to Register

Eager to join in? Ensure you register promptly! If the 60km “The Ride” piques your interest, registration remains open until Monday, September 30.

For those wanting to tackle the full 110km “The Race,” you have until Tuesday, December 31, to sign up.

Leading up to the event, starting in September, there will be several training and qualifying races to prepare participants.
