With over 2500 non-members visiting between 17th-20th September, we are proud to have been part of such an initiative that provided residents of the UAE the opportunity to focus on their health and fitness.
It was fun, refreshing, and inspiring, with people from all walks of life, at all fitness levels, and every age imaginable getting involved.
The idea of openness and access for all has always been at the core of our company ethos, this is why, when we set ourselves up, we aimed to deliver unbeatable value for money without cutting any corners…..we call ourselves "The People’s Gym’, and we mean it!
In fact, nearly a third of our members are first-time gym users who are only just starting on their health and fitness journey and have never owned a gym membership before- exactly the kind of people that the Fitness 4 Everybody initiative aims to engage. We are extremely passionate in supporting newcomers to the health and fitness world as they figure out and reach for their own, personal goals.
Of course, we ensured all visitors maintained social distancing and hygiene practices in-line with all current UAE authority guidance. Temperature checks were carried out on everyone prior to entry into each gym, and a very strict masks and towels policy was enforced for all visitors.
The Fitness 4 Everybody initiative brought together over 30 of the leading fitness providers throughout the UAE, who provided free access to fitness classes and exercise seminars (both online and in-person) at dozens of venues across the UAE.

Organized with the support of Dubai Sports Council, participating fitness providers included ourselves, GymNation, alongside Fitness First, Gold’s Gym, Fitness 360, MetroFitt, The Platform Studios, Fidelity Fitness Club, Shape Ladies Club, Ignite Wellness, Les Mills, Zumba, Mashup Total Conditioning, Fitness Zone, Twist Gym, Fitness HQ, Super Gym, Rising Gym, Warehouse Gym, UFC Gym, Snap Fitness, Dubai Active, REPs UAE, Tough Mudder, Zumba, Mashup Total Conditioning and MEFITPRO.
The overall aim of the initiative was for leading brands to collaborate over the mutual goal of improving the health of everyday citizens across the UAE by offering accessible, achievable opportunities in the fitness and wellbeing sphere. As Khalid Al Awar, Director of Dubai Sports Council’s Sports Events Department, said:
‘We are proud to see the UAE fitness industry unite after what has been a tough period for everyone. The Fitness 4 Everybody initiative is a great testament of the community spirit of the UAE fitness industry. We look forward to continuing to work with and support the leaders of the UAE fitness industry to create more opportunities for people to participate in fitness and to improve the health and wellbeing of UAE residents.’
