Ice Warrior Challenge at Ski Dubai

If you're someone who enjoys staying active, thrives on adrenaline, or loves a good challenge, the Ice Warrior Challenge might be just what you're looking for.

This exciting event is set to return this year, making its grand appearance on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at the renowned Ski Dubai located in the Mall of the Emirates.

You can register for this popular event until September 19, 2024, so don't delay if you're eager to participate. Here's what you need to know about the challenge:

The race features a course packed with 20 to 22 icy obstacles spread over a 3.5-kilometer track.

Participants will encounter a variety of challenges including wall climbing, navigating sloped ledges, crawling over and under nets, squeezing through narrow tubes, rolling, running on ice, solving mazes, dangling from ropes, jumping over hurdles and wheels, climbing poles, swinging across horizontal ladders, racing with wheels, and swimming in frigid waters, among others.

All of this takes place in a bone-chilling environment set at 4 degrees below zero.

Wondering if you can join? Anyone aged 15 to 60 is eligible to compete. There are three categories:

• Elite Category (Dhs262.50): This is for men and women who can finish the course in under 25 minutes.
  
  
• Individual Category (Dhs220.50): Open to participants of various fitness levels.
  
  
• Team Category (Dhs194.25 per person): Teams of five can join forces to tackle the course and reach the finish line together.
  
  

The challenge kicks off at 6:30 AM. Participants will receive a race number to attach to their shirts, along with a timing chip that will be fastened to their foot.

Upon completing the race and returning the timing chip, every participant will be awarded a unique medal and a Snow Challenge T-shirt.

Join the Ice Obstacle Challenge Championship at Ski Dubai, Mall of the Emirates, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai, on September 22, starting at 6:30 AM. Entry fees start from Dhs194.50.
