During Ramadan, Muslims worldwide observe fasting, known as rozas.

While fasting has profound spiritual importance, the long hours without food can lead to low energy levels.

Wondering how to maintain your energy and stay active during this period?

Celebrity fitness trainer Yasmin Karachiwala shares her tips for staying fit while fasting, based on her 30 years of experience.

Yasmin Karachiwala's Tips for Working Out During Ramadan:

  1. Pilates or Yoga

These can be practiced at any time of the day.

  1. Cardio

Best done just before iftar (the evening meal that breaks the fast).

  1. Strength or Functional Training

Ideal one to two hours after iftar.

Yasmin emphasizes the importance of listening to your body. She writes, “The key to staying active during Ramadan? Tune into your energy.

I pick one workout a day, making sure it complements my fast instead of exhausting me. Small steps, big impact!”

Yasmin frequently shares practical fitness advice with her Instagram followers.

Recently, she posted a video demonstrating five Pilates exercises designed to relieve stress. She captioned the post, "Feeling tense? This Pilates flow will help!"
