Saudi Arabia’s Paralympic athletes are gearing up for the Paralympic Games set to commence in Paris next week.

A total of nine Saudi competitors will participate in five sports disciplines—athletics, taekwondo, table tennis, weightlifting, and equestrian.

These athletes are currently training at different camps located in China, Poland, and the Netherlands.

In Poland, Abdulrahman Al-Qurashi, Hassan Doushi, Noor Al-Sanaa, Ali Al-Nakhli, and Sarah Al-Jumah, along with Eyad Al-Turki (taekwondo) and Adnan Saeed (weightlifting), are engaged in rigorous fitness and tactical training.

They will continue their preparations until they depart for Paris on August 26.

Meanwhile, table tennis athlete Ghalia Al-Anzi is in the final phase of her current training camp in China, which began a month ago.

This camp includes participation with Chinese national team members who are also competing in the Paralympics. Her training will wrap up next Saturday before she travels to Paris.

In the Netherlands, equestrian Ahmed Sharbatly has been involved in a training camp since July 1.

His focus has been on addressing certain movement weaknesses and increasing the frequency of training sessions with the horses to three times a week, incorporating motivational exercises.
