The Lift Brands EMEA support office, based in London and led by CEO Kevin Yates, will oversee the UAE operations.

Afshad Mistry, previously the general manager for the former master franchise holder, has been appointed as the general manager for the UAE.

Lift Brands has stated that its current priority is to enhance the four existing Snap Fitness clubs in the UAE.

This includes modernization efforts already underway at the Media City and Motor City locations.

The Snap Fitness brand, which underwent a major rebrand in 2021, offers members 24/7 access, flexible monthly contracts, digital resources through its app, and personal training services. Selected locations also feature recovery zones.

"Regaining the master franchise for the UAE is an incredibly exciting step for us," remarked Kevin Yates, CEO of Lift Brands EMEA.

He pointed out that the UAE's health and fitness club market is anticipated to exceed $5 billion by 2030. By managing the Snap Fitness brand directly, the company aims to rapidly tap into the region’s growth potential.

Reflecting on the brand’s recent achievements, Yates said, "2024 was an outstanding year for Snap Fitness, with franchise and membership sales reaching record highs across our global teams."

He noted that 44 new locations were launched in 2024 and expressed optimism about expanding the brand’s footprint in the UAE.

"We’re on an upward trajectory and eager to realize Snap Fitness’ full potential in the UAE, significantly increasing our presence there," Yates added.

According to the group, there has already been significant interest from the region, and plans to seek franchise partners in the UAE are underway.

Ty Menzies, global CEO of Lift Brands, highlighted Snap Fitness' leadership in the industry. “Since its inception, Snap Fitness has been at the forefront, offering holistic wellness experiences and a flexible business model.

Our success stems from our unmatched support for entrepreneurs and communities while maintaining a world-class fitness experience.

The UAE is a key market for us, and we’re thrilled to expand the Snap Fitness family, making fitness more accessible, enjoyable, and fulfilling.”

Meanwhile, Snap Fitness reached a major milestone of 100 clubs in the UK and Ireland last year. It also started 2025 with a new opening in Raynes Park, London.

Globally, the brand has ambitious plans, aiming to open more than 60 clubs this year.
