Do you feel like you need a boost?

Are you struggling with motivation, or need a new focus? Then it’s time to get a well fit mind and body! Exercise and good nutrition can be an incredible thing when it comes to your wellbeing.

In this post we are going to show you how to get a well fit mind and body, giving you some tips on how to use exercise and nutrition to enhance the health of your body and mind.

Exercise in the morning

Did you know that exercising in the morning can boost your productivity? It’s true. Exercising first gets the blood flowing around your body and to your brain, giving it a natural boost.

You can also enjoy a burst of endorphins (the feel good hormone) which makes your brain feel revived. If you haven’t tried it before, try getting out in the morning for your exercise to get a well fit mind and body!

Stay hydrated!

Did you know most people spend their days in a constant state of dehydration? How much water do you drink each day? Do you even monitor it?

Staying properly hydrated is vital for the brain to function properly and your body to run at its best. Also it ensures you can regulate body temperature, keep your joints lubricated, prevent infections, deliver nutrients to cells, and keep organs functioning properly.

Being well-hydrated also improves sleep quality, cognition, and mood. Staying hydrated is crucial for a well fit mind and body!

Take part in mindful exercise too

Yoga is fantastic for the body and the brain making it an excellent choice for achieving a well fit mind and body. Yoga improves strength, balance and flexibility and can also help with back pain relief. Yoga can also ease arthritis symptoms and benefits the health of your heart.

Yoga is also known to help  relax you and help you sleep better. If you have been in a bit of a slump then Yoga can mean more energy and brighter moods, it is also an excellent stress management tool.

Foods for the mind and body

You are what you eat. In order to get a well fit mind and body you need a good balance of nutrition and exercise. Below are three great nutrition choices to stay healthy inside and out:

Whole grains - May help to improve concentration and focus, they release their energy slowly into the bloodstream, keeping you mentally alert throughout the day. Eating too few healthy carbs, like whole grains, may lead to brain fog and irritability.

Oily fish - Contain brain boosting Omega 3s, these fats are important for healthy brain function, the heart, joints and our general well-being. Although studies are at an early stage there is some suggestion that adequate amounts of omega-3 fats in your diet may help to relieve depression.

Green leafy vegetables - Leafy green vegetables are an important part of a healthy diet. They're packed with vitamins, minerals and fiber but low in calories.

Eating a diet rich in leafy greens can offer numerous health benefits including reduced risk of obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure and mental decline.

Follow the above for a healthy mind and body!
