What is my body shape?

Each of us has unique proportions that greatly influence how we can enhance our appearance in clothing.

Following are the seven most popular and ideal body types in the fashion industry for men and women:

Hourglass body shape:

This body type exhibits balance and harmony, with proportional and well-balanced bust and hips, as well as a clearly defined waist.

Top hourglass body shape:

Similar to the regular hourglass, this body type features a defined waist, with a visibly larger bust compared to the hips.

Body shape calculator measurements: correct way for correct results

To accurately determine your body type using our body shape calculator, four specific measurements are required:

  • Bust: Measure at the fullest point of your bust using a soft measuring tape. Ensure that the tape is not too tight by taking deep breaths.
  • Waist: Your waist is the narrowest part of your torso. The measuring tape should fit snugly around your waist without digging into your skin. Avoid pulling in your stomach.
  • Hips: Measure your hips at the widest point below your waist. Remove any clothing and keep your feet together for the most accurate measurement.
  • High hip: This is another hip measurement, but taken at a different location than the previous one. It is measured at the top of the hip curve, not at its widest point. Locate the upper swell of the hip over your pelvic bone.
