It's beach body time - uh oh! Don't worry, lots of people aren't quite ready for the summer either even though it's upon us. It's a time of serious temptation that sees us get lead stray all too easily at every turn, the weathers hot too so we don't really feel like heading to the gym. All in all, it's not a great time for training...in theory.
Change of location
Fitness in Dubai has so much to offer when it comes to location and variety. You don't HAVE to sweat it out in a gym, you can choose to train anywhere you wish and at this time of year outdoor bootcamps are an absolutely fantastic option, as is any form of outdoor training in general. Get your trainers on, wear your favourite tank top and get yourself out there! You'll love it.
Peace and quiet
Whilst we're on the subject of sweating it out in gyms, this time of year is actually one of the best for training IN gyms. The fact that the summer approach will have died off means that you'll find an all-together quieter gym environment than usual and some great fitness club offers. Freedom of movement, freedom of thought away from others - just freedom to choose how you train and make full use of the gym in general.
Knowing what your body needs and ensuring you don’t exceed your calories per day is a sure way to lose weight fast. Employ the services of a nutritionist or a personal trainer to give you a tailored weight loss plan which you can follow by counting calories. You can also try an online calorie calculator to do some adding up yourself.
Pros – Getting professionals help is the best way to ensure you are staying safe while calorie counting
Cons – You may deprive yourself of certain nutrients if you don’t do the proper research and maintain a balanced diet.
There are a number of ways you can lose weight rapidly. The key to all of these is persistence; safety and ensuring you get a healthy amount of exercise to accompany your new eating habits. Quick fixes and rapid weight loss tips are never for long term results, a proper diet plan tailored to your needs with an exercise regime you can stick to is the best way to consistently lose weight.
No, we aren't suggesting that you down turpentine to aid in your weight loss goals - we simply mean that when choosing an alcoholic drink, by far the best type to choose is a white spirit and diet mixer as they are the least calorific types and won't slam the pounds on your waistline. One pint is on average equivalent to one of your 6 meals a day as a regular fitness enthusiast. That's scary!
BBQ's are a summer staple - they're calorie havens and if you make the wrong choices you'll slam on the pounds VERY easily whilst you're eating your second burger and washing it down with your fourth pint of beer. The key is damage limitation, it's all about avoiding eating too much of the starchy stuff and sticking more to the meats. Do you really have to have four rolls with your burgers / sausages? Cut down on your starch intake. That goes for the drinks too as mentioned above.
Schedule in your time
You might already be beach body ready by the time summer hits, but it'll all soon fall to pieces if you don't stay on top of your beach physique by making the time to train at least three days per week for maintenance. The preparation is only half the battle; you also need to maintain what you've achieved. Don't let anything else dictate your time for you, select three time slots per week where you know for a fact that you can't be interrupted, and get your training done.
Dark chocolate can help with skin
Working out can cause your skin to get sweaty and your pores to clog so it’s important to maintain a good skin care regime. Your body will love you for this. By eating or indulging in a couple of squares of dark chocolate a day you will be doing your skin a big favour. Cocoa aids in hydrating your skin giving it a firmer more supple appearance. Make sure you choose a dark chocolate that is at least 70 percent cacao.it can also help reduce skin puffiness.
Consume lean protein sources for healthy hair and nails
Nothing represents health and vitality better than healthy glowing and strong hair! You need to eat a variety of healthy and clean protein sources every day such as lean meat, fish, eggs, beans and lentils as well as nuts and seeds as part of a balanced diet. You will soon notice the difference if you haven't been eating these!
Consume oily fish to keep your heart healthy
Love eating your fish? Salmon and mackerel are the juggernauts of happy heart foods. Why is that? Because these healthy heart foods contain an abundance of omega-3 fatty acids, which have been proven in studies to lower the risk of arrhythmia (irregular heart beat) and atherosclerosis (plaque build-up in the arteries.) So you really want to include salmon in your diet! Take care of your ticker and it will take care of you in turn.
Grapefruit can help you get slimmer!
Grapefruit is a great choice in the hot summer months. Grapefruit is jam packed full of both vitamin C and antioxidants making it the perfect accomplice to your breakfast. This wonder fruit aids in the natural cleansing processes of the liver. A glass of freshly-squeezed grapefruit juice, a bowl of tinned grapefruit or half a fresh fruit will help boost production of the liver detoxification enzymes that help flush out carcinogens and other toxins.
By incorporating these fitness tips for summer you will really be making the most out of your fitness journey.
